The goal of our Care Ministries at Aldersgate Church is to reach out to those in our community who are going through tyring times in life. We believe that those who need faith filled spiritual support and the encouragement of others who are/have been in the same situations would benefit from these groups. All groups are nondenominational and are open to new members at any time. For more information regarding any of these groups, please contact the church office at 605.225.5680. Meals Ministry

With the help of countless volunteers, the meals ministry provides meals for those who have been blessed with a new baby or those who have been hospitalized for a surgical procedure. If you are willing to help with this ministry or know of someone who would benefit from this ministry, please call the church office at 605.225.5680.

Prayer Ministry

Jesus said, "My house will be called a house of prayer" (Matthew 21:13). In our desire to become that House of Prayer at Aberdeen First, we have in place several prayer chains. If you wish to add a prayer request or would like to be a part of a prayer chain, please contact the church office by email at office@aberdeenfirst.org or by phone at 225.5680 to be a part of this ministry.

Prayer Requests may be written on a Connection Card during worship, emailed or called in to the church office.

Men's Prayer Meeting is open to all men who would like to pray for the ministry of the church and requests. They meet weekly at 8:15am Saturday in the church prayer chapel. Please use the North Door.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

Shawls are made to comfort and encourage those who are weak and weary. They symbolize the healing power of God and are made with prayers and love. Do you know of someone who is discouraged, sick or hurting in some way? Prayer shawls are available next to the church office for you to pick up and give to that person. Simply take the prayer shawl, fill out the card regarding the recipient of the shawl, and leave their card in the church office. Then, take the prayer shawl to that person and take time to pray with them.

Do you knit or crochet? Please consider make a prayer shawl. Directions can be found in the church office. THANKS to everyone who has been sharing these with those who are sick and hurting.
